SOUTHWICK RACE REPORT - 250 SWEEP

29 August 2011
Source from SCOTT Sports - Adam Greene Scott Sports would like to congratulate Tyla Rattray and Brett Metcalfe on taking the overall victory at the Southwick MX National this past weekend in Southwick, Mass. Brett Metcalfe, came out on top with his first career overall win in the 450 class. No surprise in the 250 division, as Tyla Rattray delivered the Southwick overall for the second-straight year. The weekend started off with a moto win for SCOTT sponsored rider, Gareth Swanepoel. Swanepoel led early, but Tyla Rattray took over the lead early until he stalled his engine. Swanepoel retook the lead and kept charging, and actually pulled away from Rattray down the stretch to win his first-ever moto in the U.S., and the first moto win of the year by a non-Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider. SCOTT Sports again would like to congratulate both Brett Metcalfe and Tyla Rattray on their impressive rides and wishes them both, along with the rest of the SCOTT team, the best of luck in the remaining rounds of the AMA Motocross National Series.
