SCOTT Moto Weekend Vision: RedBud

09 July 2013

Last weekend the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series landed at (America's Motocross track) RedBud, located in Buchanan, MI.  With patriotism running high, fans from across the nation enjoyed their 4th of July weekend in Moto style.

450MX Class

Trey Canard

Trey Canard was the top elite SCOTT athlete in the 450MX class at RedBud.  Canard had a strong first moto, managing to finish 5th despite a small crash.  His second moto found him crossing the finish line in 6th and with 5-6 moto scores, Canard earned 4th overall.  Trey maintains 4th in the 450MX class point standings.

Andrew Short

Andrew Short also had a strong first moto, finishing just in front of Canard in 4th.  In the second moto Andrew had to battle through the pack to finish 12th.  His 4-12 moto scores were good enough for 7th overall and allowed him to up 2 spots into 7th in the 450MX point standings.

Phil Nicoletti

Phil Nicoletti has been on a tear, snagging top ten finishes in almost every national this season.  In the first moto, Phil continued this streak by finishing 10th.  Phil had some bad luck in the second moto and was credited with 38th.  He still managed to get 16th overall and sits 13th in the 450MX point standings.

250MX Class

Blake Baggett

After a solid 4th overall at Southwick one week prior, SCOTT goggle athlete Blake Baggett was ready to throw down for a podium spot at RedBud.  The first moto had Baggett outside the top 15 after the first lap.  Blake dug deep and worked his way through the field and into 8th by the checkered flag.  Blake worked his way into 10th and that would be where he would finish for his second moto.  His 8-10 scores earned him 9th overall for the day.  Baggett maintains 4th in the 250MX point standings.

Adam Cianciarulo

Rookie sensation Adam Cianciarulo got off to a great start and snagged an 11th place finish in the first moto.  In the second, Adam found himself in the top 5 after the first lap, but succumbed to a crash that put him back to 38th place.  He remounted and battled his way back through the field to finish in 15th, which was enough to earn him 12th overall.  Cianciarulo sits 18th in the 250MX points chase.

Darryn Durham

Darryn Durham found himself on the ground early in the first moto and had to work his way through the field, ultimately finishing in 28th.  Durham went to work in the second moto and finished 13th.  His 18-13 moto scores earned him 14th overall for the day.  Durham moved into 13th in the 250MX points chase.

Justin Hill

Justin Hill's first moto didn't go as well as he hoped; he was forced to pull off the track recording a 40th place finish.  Looking for redemption in the second moto, Hill dug deep and worked his way into 14th by the checkered flag.  His 40-14 moto scores were good enough to earn 18th overall for the day.  Hill sits 12th in the point standings.

The next round of outdoors takes place July 20 in Washougal, Washington.
