SCOTT Athletes Sweep the XC1 Podium at the Snowshoe GNCC

SCOTT goggle athlete Kailub Russell earned his 3rd consecutive GNCC race win last weekend at the AMSOIL Snowshoe GNCC in West Virginia.  Russell's teammate Charlie Mullins finished just behind in second place.  SCOTT goggle athlete Thad DuVall had to battle forward after having to start on the second row.  Du Vall actually led the race for a while, but then experienced a mechanical issue, which allowed the hard-charging Kailub Russell to get by both DuVall and Mullins for the lead.  DuVall rebounded after losing a few position and worked his way back into the third place positino.  With this win, Russell (220 points) moved to within 7 points on the series points leader Charlie Mullins (227 points).  DuVall is 4th in the point standings.

The next round of GNCC takes place September 7-8 in New Berlin, NY.
