GP7: Germany (Teutschenthal) - Podium for Ferrandis

Just one week after being back racing, Dylan Ferrandis got a podium result, with a second position during the GP of Germany in Teutschenthal, his third appearance this season. In the European MX250 class Scott enjoyed a full podium, thanks to three young talents.germany-ferrandis-gp7-154492

Fifth in Latvia last weekend, Dylan Ferrandis did impressive races in Germany if you considered that the Frenchman was two months off due to his shoulder injury. Unable to train as usual between Latvia and Germany due to a painful shoulder, Dylan got great starts and show high speed on the rough German track. “It was a good weekend, even if I’m not yet at my best level. After Latvia I was unable to do any activities for two days, but hopefully I will feel better tonight and we’ll be able to do some testing this week. Due to my injury we had no time to test on hard tracks before coming here, and all weekend long we worked with the team on the settings of the bike. I got two holeshot this weekend and narrowly missed the third one, and then did good races but never took any risks. I wasn’t confident on Saturday but today was better and now I just need some more weeks to be back at my best level,” said the Kawasaki rider. Teammate Petar Petrov wasn’t as successful, as the Bulgarian rider hit his thumb on Saturday and raced with a lot of pain to score important points for the series with a thirteenth and an eleventh results. In the MXGP class Clement Desalle was unable to race due to his crash in Latvia, and Shaun Simpson scored another ninth position with a ninth and an eight position.Germany SANAYEI GP7The EMX250 was a Scott rider’s affair, with the double win of young Aussie Hunter Lawrence who beats current leader series Thomas Kjer Olsen and American newcomer Darian Sanayei. Olsen leads now Lawrence by twelve points after three of the ten rounds.germany-sanayei-gp7-154499germany-lawrence-gp7-154495germany-podium-emx250-gp7-154497The GP series will continue next weekend in Arco di Trento (Italy)
