Savatgy Tied for Points Lead After Glendale

The 2016 Monster Energy Supercross Series made it's first ever stop in the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona this past weekend. The night started out right for 250 West series points leader Joey Savatgy as he took the heat one win. In the main event, he had to work his way up through the field to grab third place. He is now tied for the points lead with just a few rounds left of racing. Joey's Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki teammate Chris Alldredge had a good main event and finished sixth.

Davi Millsaps of Team BTOsports.com KTM won decisively in his heat race. Millsaps was looking like his old self and laid down six solid laps. He continued his holeshot streak in the main event and was in fifth place once the checkers flew. Two spots behind him was his teammate Justin Brayton, finishing seventh on the night. Autotrader.com Toyota JGR Yamaha pilot Weston Peick finished eleventh in the 450 main while his teammate Phil Nicoletti brought it in at the seventeenth spot. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider Christophe Pourcel pulled together a thirteenth place finish in the 450 main.


Injuries Continue to Sideline SCOTT Athletes.

 

Trey Canard decided not to race this past weekend after riding press day and feeling like his hand was not ready to go. At this point, Trey will come back when he feels he can compete at the top level.

 

 

 

Justin Barcia had surgery on his thumb after suffering a preseason injury. He will miss the remainder of the 2016 Supercross season.

 

 

 

 

Blake Baggett was unable to race this weekend due to an aggravated shoulder injury. He should be back this weekend for San Diego.

 

 

 

 

 Adam Cianciarulo riding for Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki broke his wrist this past weekend and will be out 6-8 weeks while it heals up. He will miss the first several rounds of the 250 East Supercross series.

 

 

 

Andrew Short, KTM rider from Team BTOsports.com will make his return to Supercross this weekend after missing the first five rounds of racing action after sustaining a series of injuries from a preseason crash.
