Successful start for the SCOTT freeride team at the freeride world tour 2014

27 January 2014

Last week, two stops took place in the French and Italian parts of the Alps. The First stop in Courmayeur had challenging conditions, yet led to the SCOTT Freeride Team's first great performance of the season. With a victory from our newest team rider Loic Collomb-Patton, thes season started off with a bang. Additionally, SCOTT had Jeremie Heitz in third and Stefan Häusl in fourth place - what a start!

Due to the fact that the waiting period for the competition in Courmayeur was quite long, the competition only finished on Wednesday of last wek. The weather forecast for Chamonix was good, so the second stop would take place immediately the following weekend. With around 30cm of fresh snow and blue skies there were excellent conditions for a freeride competiton.

Stop two was even more successful for our SCOTT Athletes. With the last run of the men's skiers, a very technical one at that, Loic finished his run with a massive 360, stomping his way back onto the top step of the podium.

This was the women's first time competing for this season, and did they deliver! Jackie Paaso frm the SCOTT Freeride team had a great run with a nice big drop in the middle, landing her in first place. Lorraine Huber put in a solid run and finished third.
