ElektroRad – SCOTT Axis eRIDE 10 impresses in touring test​

For the new Axis eRide 10, SCOTT has placed great emphasis on visually appealing integration solutions. Starting with the cockpit, which features a semi-integrated display and discreetly routed cables running through the stem into the head tube, to the compactly positioned CX motor in the center of the frame, and the rear light integrated into the luggage rack. The aluminum frame with its tapered top tube stands out not only for its high-quality workmanship but also for a geometry that is not overly sporty, making it ideal for long-distance touring. 
​Speaking of which: A solid 800 Wh battery is housed in the side-removable unit within the down tube and can even be expanded to 1050 Wh with a range extender. Shimano’s XT drivetrain ensures flawless shifting performance with a 12-speed transmission, perfectly tuned for even the steepest climbs. Riding on asphalt is well accounted for with Schwalbe’s moderately treaded tires – wide enough to provide secure and stable handling, even on fine gravel terrain.
