Slovenia is the first country in the world to be declared with the label Green Destination. A small, picturesque country where simply cycling an hour away in any direction makes it seem like you are in another country.
Our tour takes you from the foothills of the Julian Alps over the Karst region to the Adriatic Coast. The nature here is magnificent, with surprises hidden around every corner.
In this tour there are six stages waiting for you! In the evening we will gather together next day’s briefing. Afterwards you can join us for a cold beer or meet new people and enjoy the evening with your riding companions.
We will cover approximately 500km and 6000 m of elevation.

The tour is generally of an upper intermediate level. Average physical condition and good overall fitness is an advantage. The team of professional guides will support you based on your riding and fitness level.

Program
Below you can find the epic road tour of our 7-night package. We can customize programs of different durations for your group of friends. Please enquire for more details.
We will await you in the departure city, Ljubljana. That afternoon our team will help you with bike assembly and answer any outstanding questions. We will then gather for a pre-ride briefing.
After a short loop through the old city, the heart and soul of the capital, we will leave Ljubljana and head towards the picturesque countryside to the iconic Lake Bled.

The ride in the very heart of the Julian Alps. Today we will visit the two most iconic lakes in Slovenia, starting at lake Bled and finishing at lake Bohinj. We will cross the Triglav national park and admire beautiful springs and mountain pastures.

In the morning we will begin with a light warm-up. Afterwards a steep majestic climb with 25 hairpins and the most epic view of the Alpine peaks awaits. Over Vršič Pass you will descend to the beautiful emerald green valley of the Soča River.

The opposite of high Alpine peaks today, we will meet Goriška Brda with its rolling hills, many vineyards and orchards where the most hospitable people in the world live. Almost at every corner you can find wine cellars where you can taste local wine and food.

Today we are slowly descending to Karst, world famous for its ham and the strong red wine, Teran. We finish in Lipica, home of the world-famous white horses, Lipizzan.

After breakfast our last stage begins. Today we are slowly descending to sea level. The closer we get to the sea, the more breathtaking the views become. For the final 10km, we follow the Adriatic through the beautiful town of Piran and to the finish line in the marina in Portorož for a well-earned beer and pasta party.

After breakfast our trip is officially over. You can shuttle back with us with the group transfer to the airport or to our starting point.

By Plane
The nearest airports are Ljubljana, Klagenfurt (Austria), Trieste and Venice (Italy).
By Car
Starting city, Ljubljana, is easily accessible by road. From Germany or Austria, you can take highway A2, and from Italy highway A1.
It is half an hour drive the Ljubljana airport.
