Safa Brian Reveals Custom Foil RC Project:
PRAY FOR SPEED X Ornamental Conifer
Cyclist and filmmaker Safa Brian is recognized for his PRAY FOR SPEED films where he has partnered with some of the biggest names in the sport. An athlete who continues to push the boundaries of cycling, it was only fitting to have a bike that pushed the boundaries as well. Safa collaborated with artist Nicolai Sclater, known mainly by his moniker Ornamental Conifer, to create a unique take on SCOTT’s Aero bike, the Foil RC.
Safa Brian is a multi-discipline cyclist and filmmaker from South Africa. After spending many years working as a bike messenger and organizing races worldwide, Safa settled in L.A, where he now produces and self-distributes his content to a global audience of avid cycling fans. The custom hand painted PRAY FOR SPEED x Ornamental Conifer bike is a testament to Safa’s creative approach to capturing the cycling experience and his appreciation for high-performance equipment. Ornamental Conifer, who has painted helmets for F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo, was enthusiastic about working with cycling equipment and brought his signature race car style to this project. The outcome is a remarkable hand-painted bike, which is a genuine work of art designed for speed.
Ornamental Conifer is the moniker of British artist Nicolai Sclater, currently based in Los Angeles, California. Conifer's work is known for being bright, bold and often includes elements of Trompe- l'oeil that catches the viewer's eye and encourages further investigation.
