The deep onset of winter in Austria at the beginning of January caused great anticipation among the freeski pros around Fabian Lentsch. Everything was set for a season of great skiing, new adventures and inspirational encounters.
While Fabian Lentsch lived in the Snowmads truck for most of the winter 2019 and rediscovered the freeskiing potential in his home country Austria, he set out to explore the roots of his Snowmads colleagues, who have accompanied him on previous trips around the world or were an important source of inspiration for his own development.
During the “Snowmads Home Stories Episodes” we get to know these inspiring personalities in their home surroundings and explore the mountains that they know like the back of their hand.
In surprising short portraits we look behind the curtains of the freeskiing-cliché and gain inspiring insights into the motivations, values and lives of the chosen Snowmads characters.
Snowmads Home Stories Ep.01: Markus Ascher - Does skiing make you feel free, Moggä?
The first episode of the NEW webisode series "Snowmads Home Stories" is about the adventure seeking crew of freeskiers around Fabian Lentsch and portraits Moggä, Markus Ascher, who is part of the Snowmads crew since day one. Moggä is also the specialist around the Snowmads truck and a humble and inspiring human over all. Make sure to check it out!
Snowmads Home Stories Ep.02: Roman Rohrmoser - Dream Lines and Daddy Life
The second episode of the "Snowmads Home Stories" webisode series features Fabian Lentsch and portraits freeride pro Roman Rohrmoser. Roman is part of the Snowmads crew since back in 2015 when he helped putting the cabin of the Snowmads truck together and was on trips with them to Turkey, Armenia, Iran and Greece. Fabi and Roman have known each other even since Fabi's early days as a 16 year old freeski young gun.
And so, while on the way for some skiing missions together in Zillertal, Fabi and Moggä (Markus Ascher) stopped over at Roman's place in the famous Zillertal to find out a bit more about his roots, his thoughts about family life and to ski a big steep couloir at the 2695m high Blaser, that Roman has been looking at for years.
Snowmads Home Stories Ep.03: Fabian Lentsch - Home Is Everywhere
The third episode about the adventure-seeking crew of freeskiers Fabian Lentsch, initiator of Snowmads and one of the best big mountain skiers of the world right now, gives us insight into his idea behind it all and shows us some of his roots. As this season the Snowmads stayed in Austria to explore their home mountains for a change and not travel to the furthest destinations like Turkey, Iran, Georgia or Greece like in the past years, Fabi takes us skiing to some of his favorite freeriding spots at home in Austria, talks about where actually home is for him and why it's so important to him to share his days with good people.
And as natural when Fabi goes skiing there are some beautiful lines drawn on the mountain and good times shared in the iconic Snowmads Truck.
