Made for climbers
Since its introduction back in 2008, the Addict RC has been one of the most successful competitive road bikes on the market. The NEW Addict RC is as complete as it can get when it comes to the perfect high-performance road bike. Regardless of whether you’re trying to win the biggest races on the planet, chasing a virtual segment or taking on your riding buddies on your local climb, the Addict RC makes it more likely that you will come out on top.
INTEGRATION
The first bike with completely integrated cable routing for both mechanical and electronic shifting without any compromise on performance
From the beginning of the development process, the goal was to bring the integration of cable routing to a completely new level. Therefore we are proud that the Addict RC features completely integrated cable routing for both mechanical and electronic shifting without any compromise on shifting, braking, steering performance or head tube stiffness. This is made possible by our newly patented Eccentric bicycle forks shaft design. An added feature is that our new cable routing design makes it easy for mechanics to service the bike.
Eccentric bicycle forks shaft design
The heart of the integration is the in-house developed and now patented “Eccentric bicycle fork shaft”. The core of this innovation is, that the rotational axis at the upper head set bearing has an offset of 3mm towards the rotational axis at the lower head set bearing.
This combination of a 3mm offset 1¼" fork steerer shaft inside a 1.5” top bearing provides enough space in front of the steerer to guide both mechanical and electronical shifting wires as well as both hydraulic hoses completely internally.
On the bottom of the head tube the rotational axis of the fork is again concentric to the centre of the bearing and leaves the steering of the bicycle unaffected.
The result is a clean looking, fully integrated cockpit at all spec levels!
Clean and uncluttered, our new Syncros combo cockpit allows us to route all the cables completely internally through the bar, headset and into the frame.

CABLE INTEGRATION
All 4 cables are routed internally whether electronic or mechanical drivetrains are preferred. No cables are visible externally. Similarly the integrated magnetic stem cap means that no bolts are visible at all.
CONSTRUCTION
Carbon construction is at the heart of Syncros and our unique shape is optimized for this with only smooth transitions and no sharp edges especially at the transition between stem and handlebar. Carbon works best in flowing lines both from a strength and stiffness point of view.
STIFFNESS
Thanks to our specific design, layup and geometry we’ve achieved a 26% improvement in sprinting stiffness and a 27% increase in compliance (shock absorption). The usage of Ultra High Modulus carbon fibers plays a key role in this performance optimization.
COMPUTER INTEGRATION
This specific and unique v-shape also permits a better integration of the computer in front of the rider bringing it closer to him.
ERGONOMICS
Working with our ergonomics partner GebioMized we’ve optimized the tops with an oval shape to cancel pressure points, the hoods with a smooth transition and palm support and the drops with a compact shape. Even the graphics are designed for additional grip should you choose to ride without bartape on the tops.

DESIGN
We’ve looked to reproduce the same design language as the one-piece version with our separate bar and stem. All we’ve learned regarding ergonomics is reproduced here for comfort and performance.
INTEGRATION
There is full integration for the cables inside the bar and stem for both mechanical and electronic shifting. Our stem plate features an option to integrate a Garmin or Wahoo mount. Lastly our magnetic stem cap means no bolts are visible at the steerer and completes the clean look.
CONSTRUCTION
Our innovative stem allows mechanics to change the stem without having to bleed the brakes. Coupled with our new splittable spacers you can easily raise and lower the stem.

Stiffness
A sophisticated layering of ultra-high modulus carbon fibers along the ‘stiffness backbone’ of the bicycle, we achieved a significant boost in bottom bracket stiffness. Furthermore, the application of our advanced molding structure which reduces the amount of bonding joints to a minimum and leaves simply not just one single bit of unintended carbon inside the frame creates an outstandingly lightweight frameset.
Hollow Structure
The complete frame set is built hollow and has a never seen clean inside to maximize the weight reduction.
Sandwich dropouts
The Addict RC dropouts are designed to be integrated on the thru-axle system thanks to a hollow tube design that allows a simple and lightweight structure.
Seat clamp
Our new ultra-lightweight seat clamp weighs just 12 grams and allows for a very carbon friendly clamp mechanism. This allowed us to save even more weight on the seat post (weight: 142 grams).
AERODYNAMICS
On top of improved stiffness and fully integrated cable routing the new Addict RC got also more Aero
Aero tube shapes
SCOTT’s patented airfoil design has been applied to its main tubes (down tube, head tube, seat tube, seat post, seat stays) with the goal to optimizing the airflow and reduce the overall drag.
Lowered seat stays
The lowered seat stays decrease the gap behind the seat tube and the seat stays avoiding air stagnation and consequently drag.
Integrated cable routing
Integrated cable routing not only makes for a clean and premium look, but also improves the airflow in the front.
COMPLIANCE
Smooth riding experience without any effect on the pedalling efficiency and stiffness
COMFORT ZONE CONSTRUCTION
The new Addict RC has low seat stay attachments which leads to a smooth riding experience even when it gets rough. This is achieved without any effect on the pedaling efficiency and stiffness of the bottom bracket.
BELCARRA REGULAR CONCEPT
Developed in conjunction with world renowned bike fit company Gebiomized, this saddle has been designed to offer the maximum tailored bike fit solution for an off the peg saddle.
GEOMETRY
The new Addict uses a race geometry that meets the requirements of both our professional riders and sportive customers who prefer a more aggressive position and a very direct handling bike. To make this possible we worked closely together with our professionals at Mitchelton-SCOTT and one of the most decorated bike fitters, Radlabor. This partnership allowed us to evaluate thousands of positions to find the optimal one for performance-oriented riders.
