SCOTT UK Contessa Team Race Dalby Forest
30 April 2012
This weekend was a cracker for the SCOTT Contessa UK team! Sunday was a very wet day at the office for the Scott Contessa girls, which just showed that both the 26” Contessa Scale RC and 26” Contessa Spark RC can still mix it up on a very technical course! Dalby Forest was made even more technical because of the torrential downpours!

Beth Crumpton was still on a high from her excellent result in Belgium last weekend and had a fantastic result and took the win, beating Alice Barnes who had won the battle at Sherwood.
Caroline, Nicky and Gabby were all on their brand new Contessa Spark RC’s and it was just a shame the weather was so bad that they didn’t stay so shiny and bright… sleet greeted them for practice on Saturday, but they kept on smiling and their positive attitudes obviously helped, with great results coming from Sunday’s 2nd Round National Points Series.

Caroline Goward, in the Masters, led from the start. Dalby Forest is her favourite course to ride and she won by quite some margin and would of actually have finished 2nd in the Expert category.
Nicky Hughes had a great race in the Veterans category coming in 3rd, bettering her position at Sherwood by one place, so the training is paying off.

Gabby Day was on her first ever outing on a full suspension bike and seemed to like the SCOTT Contessa Spark RC, by coming in 9th in the Elite Category. The SCOTT Contessa team were loving the new full suspension weapons; The Spark rode smoothly over rocky descents and absolutely loved the remote twin loc lever to control their suspension.. more to follow at the next round!
