New SCOTT Contessa Genius: one of the best women's mountain bikes
After launching the new Genius last month, SCOTT proudly presents the Contessa version of the bike. The Contessa Genius proposes another build-up option, with components thoughtfully chosen to suit female riders the best. Get ready for some good singletrack.
About the Contessa Genius geometry
The new Contessa Genius has been designed to be able to tame anything that comes its way, may it be on steep rooty climbs or fast, flowy singletracks. The bike comes with exactly the same frame as any other new Genius model, which means that, compared to the previous iteration, this one is slacker, has a longer reach, shorter chainstays and a steeper seat angle.
The Contessa Genius shares the same platform and benefits from all the same frame technologies than the other SCOTT Genius bikes.

How is the Contessa Genius different?
What makes it different to the regular Genius, are the different touchpoints, which have been adapted to match female riders’ needs :
• Grips : smaller diameter and different foam (softer, nicer feeling for the hands)
• Women’s saddle : special shape, curvature and padding for added support and comfort
• Shorter stem : 40mm on Contessa Genius S/M, 50mm for L
• Narrower handlebar : 740mm
• FOX Contessa Custom Tune (Shock) : Light compression Tune
• Smaller chainring on 1-by : 30T
Why is the Contessa Genius the right bike for me?
Options and versatility:
The Genius is a bike for everyone, and with the new frame that allows you to switch from 27.5’’ to 29’’ so easily, it offers a multitude of options. This bike will allow you to ride any trail, any time. No matter the conditions, no matter the rider, it is always the right tool for the job.
The Contessa Genius can switch from 27.5’’ to 29’’ wheels with nothing more than the flip of a chip
Lightweight and efficiency :
At SCOTT, we pride ourselves in our Carbon expertise. With the Genius we set a new benchmark for the 130-150mm trail bike. With great know-how in carbon layup techniques, we are able to maximize the stiffness to weight ratio of each Genius model. The Contessa Genius also comes with our patented TwinLoc Suspension System, which allows us to create a bike that climbs effortlessly and efficiently, yet slays on the way down. Finally, the FOX shock has been optimized for lighter riders with the Contessa Custom Tune, offering a smoother rebound and compression curve and allowing the shock to work to its full potential even with lighter riders.
Less time in the workshop = more time on the trails!
Opting for the Contessa version of the Genius is opting for more time riding and less time spent in the workshop swapping parts. Because the Contessa bikes are spec’d to fit female riders’ needs the best, the Contessa Genius is ready to be ridden straight out of the box.
Last but not least, the sports-fashion-inspired, dynamic and feminine design will make you stand out of the crowd !
