Crossing the Aravis mountain range by Anne-Lise

28 July 2020

Anne-Lise ROUSSET, a member of the French athletics team has just achieved an incredible performance by the crossing of the Aravis.

Starting from ROMME (74) > Arriving at the Refuge des Fontanettes (74). A typical extreme skyrunning course staying as close as possible to the peaks.

On Saturday 25th of July at 4:30 am, Anne-Lise took off from the fountain of ROMME with her two pacers who took to the lead at Col de l'Oulettaz. Afterwards, there was a quick refueling and crew change for the second part and then towards the Col des Aravis via the peaks of this crossing: the Pointe Percée, the Arêtes Noireset le Trou de la Mouche.

At around 11am when Anne-Lise arrived at the feeding point of the Col des Aravis, with about 17 km to reach the finish passing by the Combe à Marion, the Arête de l'Etale and then Mont Charvin.

At 15:05, Anne-Lise arrived at full speed on the refuge des Fontanettes to complete this very technical crossing of 49km and 6110 D+ in 10h35.

She successfully established a reference time for women with her Supertrac RC 2.

Anne-Lise surrounded by pacers, her husband and the SCOTT team manager during her arrival at the Fontanettes.
