Overall, the latest Addict is one of the best climbing bikes on the market. That’s not just because it’s light, but also down to its rapid response. Its solid feel makes it a great descender, too.
As you’d expect, it climbs superbly, helped by the lightweight and reasonably aero 35mm-deep Syncros Capital 1.0 wheels. The bike is incredibly taut, the stiffness translating into purposeful acceleration especially uphill. The responsiveness through the pedals is wonderful and the steep angles sharpen handling.
