Introduction

Trails seem unsurmountable. Perhaps they are too steep, too far to access by normal means, or too daunting. Regardless of the reason, one thing is for sure, once you ride them it is always worth it. We don't think that the fun should only start on the down, but that it should be a present factor throughout the whole ride. The Genius eRIDE with its pedaling assist changes the game allowing you to reach any trail, any time.



Design and integration

Far from a battery just slapped on the downtube like with other manufacturers, our design and development team have worked hard to give the Genius eRIDE a unique character. The silhouette of the Genius eRIDE highlights the DNA of SOCTT MTBs while its frontend reveals all the power and character of the bike. The drive unit size combined with the lines of the bike makes the Genius eRIDE's profile more compact than ever before.

    REAR SUSPENSION

    The rear suspension mount is the same as that of the new Genius. We use our virtual four link bar with a shock extending between the two lower mounting bolts which results in more stroke for the same eye to eye length. The Trunnion mount also offers structural gains. The shorter shock enables a very compact frame and shock package, which integrates tightly into the seat tube.

    IMPACT DAMPER

    The bottom bracket area is exposed to flying rocks or other potential impacts, this is why we have developed our own specific skid plate, the Impact Damper. It is reinforced to handle impacts, covered with a rubber layer to reduce noise and is ventilated to improve drive unit air flow.

Technologies

Wheels compatibility

The Genius eRIDE can switch from 27.5” to 29” wheels with nothing more than the flip of a chip in the linkage. No need to change the fork, no need to worry about tire clearance, all you need to do is flip a linkage chip, change your wheels and off you go. The flip chip allows us to maintain a similar BB height when switching from one wheel size to the other which is key in keeping handling similar for both wheel sizes. With 27.5” wheels, you can run either 2.5”, 2.6” or 2.8” tires. For the 29er, anywhere from 2.4”-2.6” is good to go.

Twinloc

The TwinLoc Suspension system offers the most efficient bike handling in any riding situation. This is even more valuable with the extra weight of an E-Bike. Even with electric assist, this affects the efficiency of your pedal stroke and the power you put in which moves you forward, especially on long, steep uphill’s. TwinLoc allows you to not only change compression damping, but also to change the spring curve, dynamically altering the geometry of the bike.

SYNCROS FORK STOP

The Syncros Fork Stop is a unique headset developed specifically for the eRIDE collection. The fork stop restricts the range of motion to 60 degrees, preventing the fork crown from impacting the frame, protecting you and your bike.


Carbon Experts – eRide Power Shell

BASIC CARBON E-BIKE CONSTRUCTION

A single shell tube with non-continuous carbon fibers. By being cut the carbon fibers can lose their strength properties. With this standard construction it’s hard to control comfort vs stiffness.

Thanks to the eRIDE Power Shell construction, Carbon fibers have not been cut as the tube is completely closed. It results in a stronger structure and allowed us to be lighter than a standard carbon construction for the equivalent stiffness. Thanks to the eRIDE Power Shell, SCOTT engineers were able to control compliance in precise areas. The space between the two shells is used to route the cables through the frame for a cleaner finish. No tools needed to remove the battery, open the lock and your battery is free.

For more stability and better handling, mass repartition is key on an E-Bike. This is why 52% of the frame kit weight is concentrated around the bottom bracket area. This zone is also the stiffest zone of the bike. Thanks to our carbon knowledge, we used clever layering reinforcement to match the drive unit constraints, while other areas like the top tube are lighter with fewer carbon layers.



ELECTRIC PEDAL ASSIST - BOSCH PERFORMANCE CX

The Genius eRIDE is assisted by the new Bosch Performance CX Generation 4 with a maximum power output of 85Nm and 340%. The Genius eRIDE can be powered by up to 1125Wh thanks to a 500Wh Range Booster and the bike's 625Wh battery. Choose between 5 assist modes or opt for the comfort of the eMTB mode which automatically adapts to a natural feeling assist. Rely on the best drive unit available on the market.

SCOTT RANGE BOOSTER MOUNT

SCOTT’s eRIDE engineering team has developed a specific mount which is fixed on the bottle cage slots.

RANGE BOOSTER WITH EXTRA 500Wh BATTERY

A standard 500Wh Bosch battery can be added on the Range Booster mount. This results in a total of 1125Wh. To recharge, just one charger is needed. The Bosch digital display takes into consideration both batteries. Focus on your journey and not on your battery level!



Battery

Thanks to their range, long service life, intelligent battery management and easy handling, Bosch Power Tube lithium-ion batteries are among the most modern on the market. All those decades of Bosch experience has paid off!

All Genius eRIDE frames are compatible with a 625Wh battery, so feel free to upgrade your 400 or 500Wh for a bigger Power Tube. 


App

Manage everything from your phone. Thanks to the Bosch app you can schedule a ride in advance, see your stats from ride to ride and customize modes by Bluetooth (available on Kiox display).


Display

Small, robust and connected, Kiox has all the classic functions of an on-board computer, while at the same time giving the eRIDE access to the digital world via its Bluetooth connection and a dedicated smartphone app. The color display gives you all your riding data at a glance, while the separate control unit allows you to shift modes in no time.


Drive unit

The new Performance CX generation is now 48% smaller and 25% lighter compare to the previous generation. More compact but no less powerful, the new Bosch Performance CX Generation 4 comes with a maximum power output of 85Nm and 340%. Choose between 5 assist modes or opt for the comfort of the eMTB mode which automatically adapts the assistance like an automatic gearbox does in a car.
