Pertex® Quantum Air
Pertex® Quantum Air is engineered with increased air permeability to provide a balance between wind resistance and breathability. The more openly woven structure of Quantum Air fabrics allows airflow through the fabric, which helps to regulate your body heat and keep you comfortable for longer. This balance of air permeability and wind resistance means Pertex® Quantum Air fabrics are perfectly suited to intense mountain pursuits. A durable water repellent (DWR) finish provide additional weather protection.
DRYOzone
DRYOzone DWR products are treated with an ultra-thin PFC-free/C0 durable water repellent (DWR), a polymer that’s applied to the outermost fabric layer. DRYOzone DWR reduces the surface tension of the fabric, so that water simply rolls off.
PFC Free
Perfluorinated and polyfluorinated compounds, also known as PFCs, are a group of fluorinated substances that have long been used as durable water repellence for clothing in the outdoor industry are very bad for the environment because they are very stable, and do not easily break down in nature. Therefore, PFC free/ C0 DWR treatments have been developed. They are less durable but more sustainable.
