She’s Done it Again: 4 World Titles in a Row for Flora Duffy!

30 October 2017

Yesterday, triathlete Flora Duffy marked history by winning her fourth XTERRA World Championship in a row, and this only a month and a half after winning her second ITU World Title!

Flora Duffy was impressive throughout the entire race, dominating by far on all 3 legs. After 1.5 km of swimming, 32km on the bike and a 10.5km run, she finished in a time of 2:47:48 with an incredible 8:24 margin over second place. Flora signs at the same time her best performance ever in Maui World Champs.

Another impressive statistic is Duffy’s 13th overall position, only 00:15:38 behind men’s winner Bradley Weiss, when usually men’s and women’s winners are separated on average by 25 minutes.

With this new victory, Flora Duffy becomes the first woman to win 4 XTERRA World Championships in a row. But the Bermudian triathlete doesn’t only excel off-road. She is also a double ITU World Champion (2016 and 2017) with 6 wins out of 7 races this year (she missed out on the first 2 World Series) and will even line-up at her first 70.3 in Thailand at the end of November.

Today we can say that Flora Duffy is not only the most complete but also and without doubt the best triathlete of the moment. Congrats Flora!
