Ewan Wins Final Stage at Tour of Britain

12 September 2016

The 22-year old Australian who had won the Cyclassics in Hamburg a couple of weeks ago, lined up at the Tour of Britain in his build-up for the sprint-friendly World Championships in Doha later this month. After second place on stage 1 and fourth place on stage 4, the third time was the charm for Caleb Ewan at the Tour of Britain as the ORICA-BikeExchange rider won his first race on British soil in the capital. "I am super happy. It's great to finally get the win after coming close a couple of times earlier in the race, it all worked out perfectly today," said Ewan. "It was a short but really fast stage that definitely suited me. The guys did a great job of keeping me in position and thankfully I was able to finish it off, " Ewan stated after succesfully catching late attacker Jens Debusschere of Team Lotto Soudal.
