The Winning Continues
As the summer season winds to a close, it is a good time for SCOTT SPORTS to claim another win. At the season-ending Interbike trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada, the all-new 2017 Spark 900 RC SL was awarded “Best in Show.” The award was presented by Rebecca Rusch and Brian Lopes, and it was a nice accolade with which to finish off the industry launch season. The award completes a season of success for the new fleet of SCOTT bicycles.
Since being introduced to the global media in late June, the big news has been on the all new SPARK, which for 2017 has been a ground up remodel. Aimed at the XC racer and the enthusiast xc/trail rider, the new Spark was launched with help from our SCOTT-ODLO World Cup team. Immediately after the launch, both Nino Schurter and Jenny Rissveds won the World Championships and then closed the Rio Olympics with two Gold medals. The new Spark has had a great start to the 2017 race scene, and the award in Las Vegas at the Interbike show was a great way to close the season.
During the 2016 season, SCOTT SPORTS has risen to the top on every occasion, with early season wins on the road with a stand out victory at Paris Roubaix on the only aero road bike ever to win the event, a testament to the improved comfort of the new Foil. The triathlon side did not get overlooked with victories and ultimately a series title with short course and current XTERRA World Champion Flora Duffy and a nice Ironman distance win in Western Australia by Luke McKenzie on his Plasma.
The year is being rounded out by some great stage wins by both Orica Bike Exchange and IAM cycling who are in their final season both teams have won on Foils and the Addict which really helped show the versatility or the SCOTT line up.
We look forward to the continued success in 2017.
