SCOTT ATHLETES SHINE AT UTMB 2025
All eyes in the trail running world were on UTMB 2025 last week. Arguably the biggest event on the trail calendar, this week of racing has become the definitive “who’s who” of the sport. From the lightning-fast athletes of the ETC to the relentless powerhouses of the TDC and UTMB, the depth of competition grows every year. Once again, SCOTT athletes gave it their all, leaving everything on the trails of Chamonix.
MCC: IRIS RETURNS TO THE PODIUM
As always, the MCC (Martigny–Combe–Chamonix, 40 km / 2,350 m+) kicked off the week, challenging runners with a demanding mix of speed and elevation. Once again, Iris Pessey delivered a remarkable performance, finishing 3rd in 4h 25’ 04” and returning to the podium after her victory last year. Even more impressive considering she raced with a broken rib—though anyone who knows Iris understands her ability to dig deep when it counts. Chapeau, Iris!
In the men’s race, Antonin Therond pushed through the competitive men’s field to claim 8th, while Alberto Estrada secured a strong finish for the team adaptive.

TDS: GAUTIER BATTLES TO SECOND PLACE
Known as one of the toughest challenges of UTMB week, the TDS (Sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie, 145 km / 9,100 m+) brought out the very best in Gautier Airiau. After hours of battling at the front, he crossed the line 2nd in 18 h 28’ 04”, just 5 min 47 sec behind the winner. This follows his 3rd-place finish last year, cementing his place among the world’s elite. Antoine Thiriat also showed immense courage, taking an aggressive start and digging deep to secure a hard-fought 20th place.
ETC: MĂDĂLINA FLOREA FLIES TO VICTORY
The ETC (Echappée Trail Chamonix , 15.2 km / 1,267m+) may be short, but it demands explosive strength and precision. Once more this season, Mădălina Florea delivered both in style, storming to victory in 1h30’55". She built her lead on the main climb and never looked back, finishing well ahead of her closest rivals. A clear statement of her speed and technical ability.

OCC: ESTEL ROIG CONTINUES TO SHOW STRENGTH AND CONSISTENCY
The OCC (Orsières-Champex-Chamonix , 56 km / 3,500m+) featured one of the most stacked fields of the week. Nevertheless, Spanish SCOTT Athlete Estel Roig held her own in the women’s field, running with consistency and resilience to secure 17th. Elsewhere in the OCC, Daniela Rota and Mattia Gianola brought strong results, adding to the overall impact at UTMB for Team SCOTT.

UTMB 2025, TAKE A BOW
With over 10,000 runners on the start lines and every team chasing results, UTMB is as competitive as it gets. Yet beyond the battles for podiums, the week is about sharing the trails, the passion, and the unique atmosphere of the sport. Once again, SCOTT athletes showed not only their grit, heart and talent, but also their love for the sport and the community behind it. We’re stoked for the SCOTT Running team and can’t wait to see what the 2026 season brings. For now, all eyes are on the closing races of the year. Let’s go!
