In this ever-challenging landscape, Jim and Mads set out to ascend and descend the range’s most iconic couloirs.
Armed with climbing gear, skis, and an unbreakable friendship, they navigate steep rock faces, icy terrain, deadly exposure, and mental tests in order to climb higher and go further into the mountains. Throughout these high-stakes adventures, their camaraderie and humor help both them and the viewer make it through the perilous conditions and dangerous terrain.

Jim Ryan is a dynamic force in the world of skiing and mountain athleticism. His unique blend of big mountain prowess and ski mountaineering mastery has firmly established his name within the heart of the extreme skiing community. Jim’s fearless approach to skiing has led him to conquer numerous heart-pounding descents within the legendary Grand Teton National Park. Among his remarkable accomplishments is the lightning-fast descent of the iconic Ford-Stettner Couloir on the Grand Teton in 45 seconds, a pinnacle achievement in the world of extreme skiing. His unwavering support for his peers shines through as he leads by example.
MADS' BIO
Madison Rose Ostergren is a professional big mountain skier based in Jackson Hole, WY, known for her fearless style, flaming red hair, and dedication to pushing limits. A former NCAA D1 ski racer from Northern Michigan, Madison transitioned into big mountain skiing and quickly made her mark. Her dynamic skiing is featured in three Warren Miller Entertainment films, Volkl Skis' Beauty Full Send, her acclaimed self-produced film Fuel—which was showcased at the Banff and Mountain Film Festivals—and her latest YouTube series with JHMR athlete and mountain partner, Jim Ryan.
