Q&A With Wynter McBride

Wynter’s connection to skiing started early and was shaped by time on the mountain with family.

SCOTT: How did you get into skiing?

Wynter: I got into skiing at a young age with my family. My parents worked between Nordic Valley and Snowbasin so my siblings and I could all get passes. We skied a lot as a family.

Her roots in Northern Utah continue to shape who she is as an athlete.

SCOTT: Where’s home for you?

Wynter: Home is in Ogden. Born and raised there. I love it.

On snow, Wynter’s style reflects both control and confidence.

SCOTT: How would you describe your style?

Wynter: I try to be a smooth, stylish, and powerful skier.

Off the mountain, she stays active and creative.

SCOTT: What are some hobbies and things you’re passionate about outside of skiing?

Wynter: Outside of skiing, I love to mountain bike, do yoga, and cross train with weight training for skiing. I also love music and art.

Competition is a major driver as she continues to progress.

SCOTT: What do you hope to achieve in your career?

Wynter: I am super motivated with competitions right now. I would love to land on more podiums and win some events on the Freeride World Tour.

Joining SCOTT felt natural from the start.

SCOTT: Why did this partnership feel like the right fit?

Wynter: SCOTT made so much sense from the get go. SCOTT has some of the best freeride skiers on the athlete team that I have looked up to for years. The whole team is so kind, and SCOTT embodies the type of culture I want to be a part of. The “ski everywhere anytime” motto is something I really connect with. And the product is so sick. Look good, feel good, ski good too.
