This year’s big Freeride grand finale took place this weekend on the mythical 3222m (10570 ft) Bec de Rosses, Switzerland. The much respected north face that has provided the stage for the Xtreme Verbier for 20 years, showed for the 20th anniversary a new challenging side on skiers left side. The battle of the World Champion title was very tough with a tight top. SCOTT`s team rider Jérémie Heitz had a great position as overall 2nd going into the final.
Martin Anthamatten was able to defend his last year`s victory with his new team mate, Andreas Steindl, in the supreme discipline 3K at the Matterhorn ULTRAKS SkiMo.
