Cyril Viennot claimed the ITU Long Distance World Championship title in Motola, Sweden while Marino Vanhoenacker won IM Austria only a few weeks after his impressive victory at IM Brasil. Meanwhile, Luke McKenzie won his second title at IM Cairns and once again came back to the winning streak on home soil. Last weekend Sebastian Kienle set out to defend his IM European Championship title and for once missed out on the perfect day that was needed to beat 2008 Olympic Champion Jan Frodeno.
