SCOTT freeskiers take top spots at Canadian Open
SCOTT athletes Dane Tudor and Crystal Wright took home the top spots in the Canadian Freeskiing Open at Red Mountain in British Columbia, which concluded on January 20, 2008. The whole week was the Dane Tudor Show. Leading from Day 1, he had a 10 point buffer going into the final, but rather than ski a safe, easy line, he stepped up to the plate and skied a rowdy line to leave no doubt about whose title this one was. At 18, skiing in soft jib boots, but railing Roberts like a GS course, he looked as though he could do no wrong.

"The kid has so much confidence in his skiing, but has humility to compliment his skills and his future looks white hot,” stated biglines.com. At just 18 years of age, Tudor is a force to be reckoned with who has owned junior big mountain competitions since 2004. “I am super pumped! Can't wait till the US Open. I leave Whistler on Sunday and will train at Keystone till the US Open starts,” added Tudor. “The stand out female competitor though was Crystal Wright, skiing fast, fluid and clean to make it look easy,” credited biglines.com. "There was a field of 36 girls that were all great skiers, so i feel very privelaged to have won," stated Wright.
