SCOTT's elite trail running athlete and 6-time world champion Marco de Gasperi is currently in Australia to prepare for the 2012 season. Here is a report he wrote us to give you an insight into his world and preparation.

Morgan Arritola, running in SCOTT shoes and apparel is the 2011 Women’s XTERRA Trail Run World Champion. Arritola was an impressive 10th place overall and first in the women’s division with a time of 1:33:00.
Marco De Gasperi takes 2nd place after Kilian Jornet at the 25th Mount Kinabalu International Climbathon in Malaysia. Marco reached the top first with a big advantage but fell during the descent and in consequence missed 1st place by very little.

Tough weather conditions (snow at 700m) forced the race director Martin Kaindl to change the route for the Kaiser-Marathon on Saturday. First, the 42 kilometre climb were reduced to 3 loops up/downhill of 14 km and then finally shortened to only 2 loops.
