Athlete talk

What is your favourite riding destination in the world?

It's hard to pick just one, I'd jump to the obvious - British Columbia. The variation and vastness is just incredible. But in saying that, I love where I live and Scotland is home! The scene here is booming and so many amazing trails are being developed. A few years ago, I was also lucky enough to get to explore Ecuador and the diversity of landscapes there were just incredible!

What "No Shortcuts" means to you

Leave nothing on the Trail! Give it everything you got, when you get to the bottom you’ll be grinning ear to ear, wanting to do it all again!

What do you get up to when you’re not doing bikes?

I still love to explore and discover new destinations, going for hikes with the girls and our dog Winston, it's an even better incentive when there's a coffee shop to start/finish at!

Outside of cycling, where do you draw inspiration from?

I've really gotten in to photography in a big way over the past couple of years and I'd love to explore more opportunities with that.

You’re stranded on a desert island. What three things would you want with you?

Camera (to document survival or not?), a Swiss Army Knife (cause yeeno, what can't it do?!) and a boat to row home with!

If you could put up a billboard to be seen by countless people every day, what would you put on it?

There's no such thing as a bad bike ride!
