When you see where Nino Schurter grew up, there is little to no surprise that it has had a huge influence on where he is today. Spending his early years in a small mountain village in Eastern Switzerland, there was no Football pitch. There was skiing in the winter and some of the best Swiss Single track in the summer- what more could anyone ask for?

Being home for Nino allows him to refuel. Be it on a road bike, or a Mountain Bike, he has got one hell of a backyard to do this.

Since his early childhood, Nino has been a product of his environment. Starting with ski racing, then with greater success in MTB, there was no doubt that Nino was destined for something big.

A healthy and intelligent diet is just part of being a successful athlete. Nino likes to cook for himself and his friends. We were lucky enough to be invited into Nino’s home and to attend one of the Champ’s home cooked meals.

When you’re aiming for Gold, you’ve got to have a gold Vespa. That is just mandatory.
