Athlete talk

After earning 2x Junior World Championship silver medals and a Junior World Championship, Ashleigh Gentle went on to achieve a distinguished career racing Olympic Distance Triathlon. Ashleigh is a two-time Olympian who consistently performed at the top of the field over a decade of racing World Triathlon Series events. She took second-overall in the World Triathlon Series in 2017 and wins in WTS Grand final Gold Coast (’18) and WTS Montreal (’17). However, in 2022 the Australian has decided to leave behind the Olympic distance and move up to middle-distance where she’s already seen success with a 2019 win at IM 70.3 Xiamen and is the incredible ten-time winner of the Noosa Triathlon. In 2023, she won two main IM 70.3 races (Andorra and Asia-Pacific Championship) and one PTO race in Singapore. With the PTO races and the 70.3 World Championship as a focus for the 2024 season , it will be exciting to watch as Ashleigh shifts her focus onto the challenge.
